Impossible to set mail

When I try to set up mail, I am asked to write my user name. Although I regularly registered to blackberry ID site with my e mail address, the cellphone system says: this user name is irregular = it does not accept the symbol l@. Then I came back to blackberry ID site and changed my user name in a name without the symbol @ but the new name is not accepted. Please note that password is correct, I confirmed my registration to the Blackberry ID site as requested. It looks as the site or my phone does not recognize the user name Please help Ldurelli

PLEASE, enough of your suggesting to wipe devices for no reason at all.

There is much less invasive troubleshooting that can be performed before a wipe is recommended, and a wipe would not resolve this issue anyway as it is a BBID issue, not a device OS issue.

Where are you seeing this error... what is "the cellphone system" you reference here?
