I moved to Brazil three weeks ago and bought a new sim card from a different service provider. From then, my BBM app hasn't worked - I can neither send nor receive messages, and only WhatsApp is working. BBM only worked once, and that was when I had just got the sim card. Since then, it has stopped.
I downloaded and installed the new version of BBM, and every time I go to open it, a blue screen comes up asking if to set up BBM - it then says 'Setting Up BBM' for a few mins before saying 'Temporary BBM server error has occured', then has an option for Retrying.
This is pretty frustrating. I was planning on using BBM as a main means of keeping in contact with people back home.
What can I do?

Is your new SIM card provisioned with BlackBerry Data Plan , if it is then are you sure your device is Unlocked from your previous carrier ? look at this Knowledge Base :
