Internet services not working

Yewaaaa,


I need some help people.

I've recently updated the software on my blackberry, though my whatsapp, bbm and email ain't working no more. Any possible help?

Welcome to the Community

 

 

Please try those steps :

 

1- Register your Handheld .

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
  • Wait till a Registration messages comes in your message box.

2- Resend your Service Book

  • KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service

3-  Then perform a battery pull restart like this while the device is powered On remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert it back.

 

Try it and let us know.

Well, I think I've tried those things, didn't really get the explanation on there.

I'll try a long battery pull later, a short one didn't work.

                                  When you register your device did you get the registration message . On your Home screen Go to Manage Connection - Service Status - what is the status on BlackBerry Internet Service - ?

It says 'Not Connected' and I didn't get a registration message.

One thing that might help you; during the software installation, at the restore backup stage my screen turned all white and I pulled out the USB cord.

                               So Registration Fails because you are not connected to BIS .Can you please contact your Carrier to know if there is any problem with your Carrier network.

Well there's another problem. I've bought my blackberry at a friend, and the internet service I'm using is with like a sim-card which you gotta upgrade every month, I can't afford a proper internet connection haha.

 

Oh and before I did the upgrade I had everything working perfectly, I guess it was the error I got while installing. My screen turned all white and I had to pull out the USB cord....

                                    So it may also be possible that your may need to renew your Monthly or Pre-paid plans.But if you think you have enough balance in your account and the problem is because of faulty update of your device software you can try to reload your device software.and also if you have any media card remove it and then reload your OS

please do your Backup before performing the above step.
