Invalid BB ID Username and Password Error

I am trying to set-up my Internet email account and also download an app and it states my BlackBerry ID Username and Password is required.

 

I am able to login online with this information (https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/bbid/login?i=3770183), but not on my BlackBerry.  Is there a reason this isn’t working on my phone?

 

I updated my password online today; does that matter?

When you enter your BB ID credentials on your BB, what is the exact and complete error message please? Depending on what it is, your resolution path may be different.

"The username and password provided do not correspond to a valid BlackBerry ID." I just got a replacement phone and am trying to get everything set-up again. I tried removing the SIM card and that worked (I no longer got that login screen), but I put it back in and now when I remove it, I am no longer able to bypass that login screen. Thanks!

That message is valid...since you say you can login with those credentials from a PC/browser, my next guess is that there is something complex in the ID or password that is not being properly entered on the BB itself. 

 

For instance, if your password is

  • ab123

and you enter

  • a > b > ALT > 1 > 2 > 3

the actual result will be

  • ab1er

You must enter

  • a > b > ALT > 1 > ALT > 2 > ALT > 3

in order to wind up with ab123. So, in this example, while on the BB keyboard you think you are typing ab123, you are actually typing ab1er.
