Is this the best RIM can really do?

I'm currently using a BlackBerry Bold 9000 which I have had since January 2009. Its time for a new phone. Since the Torch is about 2 years behind the new Android and Apple phones its fair to say I won't be buying it. But as a current user of a very good phone, that was more than competitive 2 years ago when I purchased it, I would really like to stay with BlackBerry.

So my question is this:

Is RIM planning on releasing a BlackBerry that can compete technologically with the new Androids and iPhone's within the next 6 months? Or is the Torch the best I can expect for the time being?

No one can answer those questions.

Define "time-being". Currently? Yes.

One of or road warriors told me today "Most of the other brands of touch phones are always being plugged in at the airports, I hardly ever see a BlackBerry device plugged in to an outlet at the airport." He has a Torch on order now.

Maybe its not the device for you, I thinks its awsome for what I need it to do.
