Yeah, it's probably been there since they came out with onboard memory. I don't think there is a single thing saved on my onboard memory. The media card is the safest method of saving important media files...I'd never trust that to the device itself.

Nonetheless, if you have anything saved you will have to check that box to make a backup otherwise it will be lost. Wish there was better news for you overspeed.
