Issue with email configuration on Bold 9700

Hello,

 

I have an issue with email BIS configuration on BB9700, when I click on the "email setup", the device requests a "user name" and "password"  and it says I am an existing user, I totally forgot these credentials.

 

I called my mobile provider but without success, they says they cannot help me on that and I must contact the mobile vendor. 

 

Can someone help me on that?

Is this an existing device of your own which has worked with email in the past?

Or, a used device you've purchased?

Hello, thanks for your reply,

 

it is a new device, my 9900 was stolen last Friday, it was registered on Blackberry Protect, so I did a wipe of the old one and reinstall the last backup on the 9700, so everything is working, I can access Blackberry world, download Apps, but I failed to activate my email address.

 

it sounds the device is already connected, but I never install a BIS email on that one. it was just used with a BES account few month ago.

That confuses me... you never intsall a BIS email on which device?

on the 9700, my BIS account was activated on the 9900 wich was stolen last week. so I migrate to the 9700, only my email settings is not working.

 

it request me in >setup >email accounts a username and password I don't have...

 

and I cannot start with a new BIS account...

 

hope it is more clear.

I think it might be asking for your BlackBerryID username and password.

Hi,

 

I solved the issue, by taking a BB8520 creating a new account with my email address and swap it to the BB9700
