I have a Pioneer AVIC Z2 with bluetooth module in my truck. System works flawlessly with my old treo and my daughter's samsung pocketpc.
my new Tour (and my last one - a defective 3.5mm jack caused it to be swapped out after 1 week of use), however, is a completely different story. people cannot hear me loud enough when i call from the car eventhough all other phones continue to work fine. my plantronics discovery 665 and 655 headsets exhibit this problem as well. The volume controls on the phone do not function at all when the bluetooth link is active. This was not the case on my other phones. I would expect that i could increase or decrease the sound of the speaker on my end. This is a big hassle. And just today, the system muted the radio whenever the phone was powered up and in range. eventhough i was not on a call, it kept the radio muted. a 5 minute reboot of the phone (that's longer than any of my vista machines) or disabling the phone's bluetooth was the only way to "fix" this problem.
What gives with this otherwise flawless phone.

I just picked up a Jawbone PRIME at Verizon. It's okay.
Some people I speak to are more sensitive to others.
While I'm not "loud", my voice is "natural".
I would ask/recommend others to try it.
Note that my Plantronics middle-of-the-road headset was (is) awful (people can't hear me at all).

I've experienced a "slow to connect" between my new Tour and my Dodge Ram truck. I never encountered such a problem with my Treo 650.
Also, I can confirm that when I route a call via Bluetooth through the truck, the person at the other end of the line can barely hear me. This was not the case with the Treo 650, which worked just fine.

I switched last week from 8830 to Tour on VZW.
BT worked great on my BMW X5 last week although people on the other end said it was quieter than the 8830.
Came back from 5 day trip yesterday and now BT does not work. When phone and car connect, the car appears to have a call in process, overrides the audio system and neither car or phone controls will "hang up" the call. I have to manually turn off BT on the Manage Connection screen.
Any word from RIM on an OS upgrade?

Just got a new Tour and am now having problems with the Bluetooth connection in my car. Basically, it will not dial out using voice commands on the car, and when I use the Blackberry to call a number - after a mere 2 seconds it tells me "call completed", and hangs up. I am receiving calls O.K., but it is very frustrating to not be able to use the hands free to dial out. Never had this problem with my older and simpler blackberry. Any suggestions on this one??
