Issues with updating software

I have (2) 9810 Torch's about 18 months old. Mine works and updates fine with no problems. My wife's phone however will not update using the desk top software and sometimes will display an error msg concerning an app failure. I've tried numerous times to update but the desktop updater always freezes during the "back up" portion of the update.


Any ideas out there??

Try doing a selective backup and skip the database that is causing the freeze. Then when you do the loader process don't make an automatic backup. When the update completes, you can simply manually restore the selective backup that you made.
