JVM ERROR 102 and cannot connect to Desktop mngr

JVM error 102

I have a Curve 8330 ..... when I connect my device to my PC, my PC "sees" the device, but the BB desktop Manager does not - it says I'm "disconnected" and now I can't back it up before I load the new OS.

 

Can someone please help?

Not knowing what all you have previously done to troubleshoot this...

 

Have you moved your USB plug to another main REAR USB port on your PC?

i was actually using the FRONT USB port on my desktop

 

then moved to my laptop and tried, but no luck..

 

will try those steps one by one tonight, thanks again!

Hello,

 

I did every step and still no luck on either

my desktop nor my laptop.

 

It is giving me the error: desktop mngr cannot communicate

and to retry, update, or cancel.

 

i went to update but it says i currently have the latest software.

 

and retry doesnt work.

 

In connection options it shows my bb and pin #

but it will not show at the bottom of the desktop mngr.

device connected (PIN): none

 

do i have any other options on getting desktop mngr connected??

Have you tried ALL available REAR usb ports?

 

Honestly, finding the correct one is sometimes the key.
