Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

Big respect to you Shmoo.  I went to the Cingular store in New Orleans since I was roaming and on vacation using their network and they advised me that they will have to wipe my BB to get it to work.  I told them no thanks.  When I returned to my home island, I went to the Digicel store and they gave me back the phone in less than 10 seconds and told me that it is defective and I need a new one.  I came home and used your method and it worked to the letter.  I backedup my data so that I have the most current and I am feeling real good about it.

Thanks again.

[ Edited ]

first off...THANK YOU Shmoo!!! it worked just like u wrote it down Smiley Happy but my question is, can I now delete the app that I tried to delete previously and made my BB go into error 102? because I tried to delete a app that I downloaded and Once I reset my BB it gave me the error 102, so now I just want to know if its safe to try this again or is there another way to delete apps to make room for me to download BBM.

cheers

Shmoo-

You are absolutely amazing!  You saved my Storm from sudden death!

I registered just to say thanks and that this worked like a charm!

(i did notice that the process is case sensitive...it took me a few times to delete my error file because i wasnt typing it exactly as it says)

The app error 205 may be because you deleted the wrong .cod file. I'm not sure anybody except RIM would undertand those error logs! You may have to completely wipe and reload the system using this guide: http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101-lecture-12-how-reload-operating-system-nuked-blackberry

Let us know how it goes Smiley Happy

Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

This is exactly what I did yesterday night.

Fortunately I had a 3 month old back up so  I didn't loose much.

Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

Hi,

I am so frustrated now that I don't know what to do.

On Friday I had a similar situation as described in other entries. Performed your magic with JL_Cmder and the original error went away. I was jubillient.

BUT THEN, all I have now is the message "net_rim_bb_"  with every application.

Can you help this BB Neophyte, one that did not back up her files!!!

Can you describe the error with a little more detail?
