I woke up this morning to find my phone displaying the message 'JVM Error 545'. After trying countless times to restart it, I looked on the troubleshooting page of this website for help. It told me to update my phone via the computer as I may not be running the latest software. This is probably true because I have not been able to log in to my Blackberry ID for several months now. When I try it simply says 'authentication failed'. I therefore tried to update it via the computer, only to be told that because my device cannot be recognised, my only other option would be to restore it to factory settings. I really do not want to have to do this, as I do not want to lose all of my files. Could anyone advise me of a way to fix this without restoring it to factory settings?
I have well and truly lost my patience with Blackberry now. It is my second one and will definitely be my last. My family have been through several through no fault of out own. However, I still need it until I can upgrade it, so if anyone has any answers they will be greatly appreciated.
