I'm sorry if this post have been post before.
I just got the Blackberry Torch yesterday. One of the reasons I got it is that I thought that Blackberry OS can read and input Japanese. However, I found out that this is not the case for Torch.
I have to read a lot of email, tweet, facebook posts, and website in Japanese. A lot of my songs also have Japanese title.
So I'm just wondering if there is any way I can get it to at least read Japanese?
It would be great if it can do Japanese input too, but only can read would be really great.
I would say languages support is really critical for this kind of bussiness target phone.

Read this thread here to get Japanese... takes a little work, but until a carrier releases an OS with Japanese, you don't have much choice.

The AT&T version doesn't include Japanese. Did you even check before you posted?
I suggest you wait until Bell Mobility releases the Torch...they usually include Japanese in their versions.

This is also one of my concerns.
Try to download BB handheld device software for Indosat (East Asia languages) from BB offitial web site. With the application loader of the desktop software that comes with the mobile you can chose Japanese. Tell me if it works

Thanks much iamtk1981!
This worked perfectly. Just use the desktop manager and select the Languages you want as an application to add. Takes some time to load, but works great!

I just tried this, but I cannot get it to load.
I install the software from Rogers, but when I connect to the desktop manager, there is no option for any languages.
What am I missing?

I am having the exact same problem. I downloaded the software, but there is no option to select language in the desktop manager. Why does RIM make it so hard to get Japanese for these newer phones? Is it even possible? My coworkers have older phones from 2 or 3 years ago and they all allow Japanese language display and input without problem.
