If you are using a personal phone, it will not show a connection to a Blackberry Enterprise Server.

Re: Just bought BBM Help!

I believe for calls to UK Vodafone from a PAYG phone its 191, but you pay 25p when you speak to someone.

From another phone you can call 08700 776655.

However, if you are showing GPRS in upper case and connected via the mobile network to Blackberry Internet Service (ignore the Enterprise Server option as this is for people connecting to a company BES server) you sould like you are sorted for Blackberry Services.

Try and go into email setup and setup a personal email account or add a BBM contact.

Re: Just bought BBM Help!

1) Register HRT: (OS5) Home Screen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Scroll to any line entry and > press the Menu key > and then click Register Now. If you have an OS 6 or OS 7 device, Look at Options > Device > Advanced > Host Routing Table, etc.

2) Resend Service Books: Article ID: KB02830 How to send the service books for a BlackBerry Internet Service account. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830

3) Then, with the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Now, try your BBMessenger...

or email setup.

Hopefully that will get things going again for you!

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?

You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as additional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.

So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.

Good luck.

Re: Just bought BBM Help!

Hi,

Thnx for your prompt reply.

Please note i already have a  Blackberry Data plan enabled on my mobile. My Outlook email is already working fine on it. When i checked with my friends, they told me BBM icon was already there on their BB when they bought the mobile, while its not there on my BB....

Hope you understand my problem....

Thnx
