Keyboard

One of the keys on my Blackberry just fell off the phone did not get dropped. The key will not go back on it wont stick I do not know want to do at all. What is the fix for this? A key from my phone fell off the phone did not fall he then said if a key falls off it is damaged and void any warranty. How can that be I would love to know what warranties cover now days? Then was told if I want VZW to take care of it can be up to $299.99 and $99.99. This is bull and not right and I AM NOT paying anything to get this fixed or new phone for a peace of plastic that's cost $25c to make

Re: Keyboard

Hello!

As a user-to-user community, no one here can answer your question with any level of authority whatsoever. BlackBerry provides zero front line support to end users, including warranty...all support starts with the carriers, authorized resellers, and authorized service centers, all who can escalate cases into BlackBerry at no charge to the end user.

So, your escalation path is not here, in these forums. Rather, it is through your place of purchase...even if they may have a poor reputation. You have no free path by which to bypass them.

There is something called incident support, but it costs to just ask the initial question, since you are bypassing the contract you signed upon purchase. If you wish to investigate that, you can review it here:

There also might be some good reading here:

Good luck!

This is not CrackBerry...we try very hard to NOT get a rude reputation here. Being humans, we sometimes fail...but we retain that goal nonetheless.
