LED and Battery

No Matter what sound profile i choose

the LED light wont blink for incoming messages.

 

I deleted my mail account , then added it again and for the first message the light comes on

but nothing after that.

I liked "profiles" from the old OS 

 

Also finding my battery to drain super fast, (4 calls, 5 emails) i'm down 50%

IN your Profiles/Sounds > scroll down to  Set Rintones/Alerts > Messages > [your email address] > and set the LED to ON.

I doubled checked all profiles and made sure

LED was marked "on"

 

seems to be a bug

 

1pm and i have bar left of battery  YIKES

What';s the bug.. .are you receiving emails and notifications but the LED light does not flash?

 

Do this:

 

With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Yes I get emails fine BUT no LED light blinking to notify me.

 

Tried re-boot no luck.  If i delete my email acct and re add it

the light works for the first message then nothing after that.

I am having the same exact issue on my Sprint Tour. The LED will NOT blink no matter what. I believe it is a bug

I figured it out, if you have your phone set to 'Phone Only' the only time the LED will blink is if your phone is ringing

Sorry. That isn't the issue. If you set it to "phone only", the phone will make noise only for that. And my LED still doesn't flash when i set it to phone only and get a call.

 

This is DEFINITELY a problem with the software. This should be fixed ASAP because people are going to start returning their Tours thinking they have deffective LEDs. Not to mention its a major inconvenience for people who are used to having a status light.

After you choose your "sound profile" you can hit the "try" key

it tests the profile  during this process the LED works fine.

 

If you stay with that profile my light has been working, if I switch the profile without hitting try

my LED doesnt work.  Weird stuff.

 

I miss the old profile app, and the option  to have a group of people set to a separate profile.

I see theres sort of that option but i set some names in place  and it still reverts back to whatever profile im on.
