Loader.exe: USB-connection dies before BB password can be entered.

BB Loader.exe: USB-connection dies before the BB password can be entered.

During boot-up the little red light on my BB Bold 9000 goes out after a few seconds and the boot-up stops.

I have tried JL_Cmndr with the BB password pre-entered, but with no success.

I have tried Loader.exe both with and without the “/nojvm” option.

The Loader.exe finds the BB on the USB port, but the USB connection dies BEFORE there is time to enter the BB password.

Is there a version of the Loader.exe where one can pre-enter the BB password or pipe it to connect with the BB 9000, or force wiping of the BB?

Any other ways, for example a strong magnet or driving over the BB with a car, to make sure it is useless?

Re: Loader.exe: USB-connection dies before BB password can be entered.

Thank you for quick reply. The video ends with "That's all there is to it."

Unfortunately it is not.

To repeat: The Loader application prompts for the BB password, but the USB connection dies BEFORE there is time to enter the password, and the Loader apllication gets stuck.

Please suggest a solution or a secure way to have everything deleted on this costly but now seemingly useless equipment from RIM.
