I recently upgrade my OS and cannot lock my phone.
Before upgrade the OS, pressing the top left corner locked the phone.
Also pressing [A] locked the phone.
Now, these functions do not work.

Yep, there are hundreds of similar posts in this forum about the issue.
You'll find it doesn't work the way it used to.
Now, to lock the device, you will need to set a password first.
The top left key on the device will only put the Blackberry in standby mode.
Downgrading back to your earlier OS is your only option to revert the function to the way it was.

Why is this not a configurable option ?
I do NOT want to type in a password everytime I just want to check my screen to see if i have email.
I just want the screen to lock untill I press the lock button again. Also I want to display owner information when locked.

i had the same problem.. set a password on your device and then in options, screen/keyboard settings apply one of the left or right keys to be the password locker..it then works in the same way the top left hand button did
