Locked Date and Time

My Blackberry Bold 9780 has both the date and time locked. When I try to update time, thee is a small lock symbol on the update time tab and it seems to be locked on automatic and will not allow me to change. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Sorry to hear you're unable to edit your date and time.

 

Under Options>Security>Security Status Information do you see anything listed for an IT Policy? 

 

Have you confirmed with your mobile carrier this option hasn't been disabled?

Dear Advisor, thanks for your note. I guessed that there must have been something locked as my phone was previously a company phone. I have gone back to basics and wiped the phone and connected it to the Blackberry software on my computer. Everything is now working well. Thanks agaiin.

Glad to hear it's now working.

Sometimes the IT Policy from a company remains on the device and reset is needed to have full functionality.
