I am trying to add an email account to my BB Torch 9860 and I am being asked to log in. However, when I do so, I keep getting a message: "Unable to lg in you Blackberry ID Account". I changed my password just in case but I still get the same message.

On your Homescreen when your Go to Options > Device > BlackBerry ID = Are you able to access and login with your new BlackBerry ID password that you have done . Or you're not allowed to login or access your BlackBerry ID on that screen..

Ohh .. its not good !
Have you recently changed or replaced your SIM card !
As you're getting this error first do a backup of your device , you may need it , and follow this Knowledge Base :
KB28212"Unable to login to your BlackBerry ID account" or "Unable to update your BlackBerry ID account information" error occurs on a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry 7
Please note, if all fails then you have to follow the # Workaround 2 within this KB . It will fix your issue.

Did not change the SIM. I have two accounts on this device and it started when I tried to set up a 3rd one. How do I back up the device? And does the KB option appear automatically when you do the back up? If not, how do I get to the KB?

You cannot set multiple ID on a BlackBerry Device , at a time only one BlackBerry ID is allowed , however you can setup multiple email account if yor carrier supports.
How do I back up the device?
Go through this Article How To Backup Your BlackBerry and do a backup of your device .
And does the KB option appear automatically when you do the back up? If not, how do I get to the KB?
