Lost contacts after sync

I tried to sync my contacts to my mac using the Blackberry desktop software, I now have no contacts left on my phone. I didn't back up my phone before doing the sync and the contacts aren't on my mac either.

Some contacts appear under recent calls and texts however there are no contacts in my address book.

Hello. What a coincidence, today I searched how to get rid of all my contacts, in a single click =)

And yes, I've found that Synchronizing my BB 9900 contacts with empty Address Book on my Mac, solves my problem. Before doing that, I've made a Backup, without encription, and with a single option (Contacts) enabled. After that you get a single file named like, BlackBerry9900 (2012-09-23) - Contacts.bb. Its just an archive ZIP file, open it and look inside /Databases/Databases.ipd - there you will find some kind of, contacts and phone numbers.

So I propose you to make a backup of BB contacts, call history, everything - and see if a lost info will appear in that file. Because somehow your BB still knows in a calls history, about your contacts?
