It works great before the moment I upgrading via DM, then it keeps lowercase edge no matter what I did, pulling out battery, turn on/off radio, 2G/3G, automatic/manual.
I tried to downgrade to an older version but still the same issue, check w/ my carrier and they said everything is okay, any ideas will be great appreciate.
Device: unlocked Tour 9630 on GSM network.
OS: upgrade from 188.8.131.522 to 184.108.40.2065

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
1) Register HRT
2) Resend Service Books
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Hopefully that will get things going again for you!

Yeah I did try above steps so many times, HRT list is empty since there's no BB coverage, also, I am w/ only BES, no BIS. and I've deleted the user in the BES Server and added it again, now the user status is showing "Initializing". so I am not sure if resend service books make sense.
Is it possible that the SIM card damaged while upgrading? It works great before the minute upgrading, so it is weird.

If the HRT is empty, then nothing else matters. Did the registration message arrive when you resent the HRT? Coupled with the lower case edge, this is definitely a carrier-level problem...until your BB is properly registered onto your carriers network, nothing else will work. You need to work with them, and request escalation from their initial level 1 to their dedicated BB support folks...they can even escalate all the way into RIM if needed.

When I click the Register Now, it just showing "Registration message sent!", and nothing happened.
Technically, maybe the carrier issue, but what I don't understand is it works great before the minute I upgraded, this is just happened right after upgrading completed reboot, so it's hard to understand this is a carrier issue, anyway I will check w/ them again.

Yup -- reg message sent is good, but if it never arrived, then your BB is not properly on your carriers network...and only they can resolve it.
I agree it is odd that this started with the update. But, it is not 100% that the update was causal...it could be coincidental.

Yeah that's all they can do, the phone was bought on eBay, not from the carrier retail store.
Can it be that the PIN was blocked in the RIM database? I have totally no ideas what the problem is, it's difficult to understand.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear...an eBay device. OK...that changes a lot of things. First, you have no warranty nor any formal support available beyond the good graces of anyone who is willing to help. Hence, the level of assistance you received. If you want true RIM formal support, your only available channel is fee-based Incident Support:
Second...was this BB originally made for the carrier you are running it on? What may have happened is that, if not, all of the special codes needed to make it function on your carrier got wiped out with the update. When you first obtained it...did you have to do anything special to make it work on your carrier? If so, you need to re-do all of that (whatever it was).
It is also possible that what you suspect is true -- but no one on these volunteer forums has any kind of access to determine that. But, even if so, that usually only blocks
I wish I could help more, but it's pretty hard to know what specific things are needed for your situation.
