[ Edited ]

Hi,

I'm using a Bold 9700 version 6.0 (1879) and would like to get the MEP2 code to desimlock my device.

as the "advanced options" menu does not exist in this version

For info, if somebody knows how to get that MEP2 code

Re: MEP2 code

There are many services on the internet that offer unlocking of BlackBerry phones.  Most charge in the neighborhood of $10 for the service, however I've heard that www.freemyblackberry.com will do it for free.

Please note that I don't endorse this or any other unlocking service, I'm just offering you the information you were looking for.

I hope that helps you.  Smiley Happy

Re: MEP2 code

Thanks a lot for your help.

I just do not understand why RIM does propose it for free, while most of telcos accept it after 3 months of use.

Best regards ans happy new year

Re: MEP2 code

It is because RIM doesn't sell the devices, your telco operators do.

So, therefore, RIM doesn't provide or sell or give away unlock codes.

salut,

It is SFR to decide about that, not RIM. Contact SFR and try to persuade them to unlock your device. the delay depends on the subscription that gave you that device.
