MLB at Bat 2013--why none for BB?

MLB.com says BB is responsible for there being no AT Bat 2013 app.  Anyone know if that is true or if MLB.com is just trying to shift the blame to someone else?

Thanks.

Re: MLB at Bat 2013--why none for BB?

I don't know but I am very interested in the answer.  Hey Blackberry, show the 99% of your user base that doesn't have a BB10 device that you still care!  Get At Bat 13 going for older BB's!  Surely starting with the MLB At Bat 12 app it couldn't be that hard to get something up for the 2013 season!

This is NOT making me want to get a BB10 device, it is making me want to switch platforms!  Why should I get a BB10 device if, in 2 years (age of my Torch) it could be left in the dark for the most popular sports app going?

Re: MLB at Bat 2013--why none for BB?

Seems like a BB issue to me.  I have a Bold and I cannont get At Bat 13. For a company that is trying to keep BB users, this seems to be a bad move to shove everyone aside that does not have a BB10. There are many BB users that enjoy the At Bat app and have paid a premium price for it for several years. Makes me wonder if BB wants us old users around anymore. This is not the way to make me buy a BB10! Other baseball fans without a BB10 need to make some noise here. Let's see if anyone cares to hear us.

what I read is that MLB decided to do an app for BlackBerry 10, but did not have any budget for OS7 and prior.

I don't live in the US and have never watched any Baseball match, so I'll drop a link here if I ever stumble upon it serendipitously.

Re: MLB at Bat 2013--why none for BB?

I can't believe I have to have a BB10 to get my Yanks!  I have a company issued BB Torch with AT&T and beause you can only get the BB10 through Verizon, I'm sure I won't be upgraded anytime soon.  Why would RIM cast us aside so quickly?

it's not RIM's decision, it is MLB's.
