Many Problems with OS 5.0 can´t use any longer the BB app world

Hi,

 

I hav installed the new OS 5.0 and since then i have the following numbers:

 

1. I can not use the Blackberry application loader, i get a message, "sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support blackberry app world"   , while in the previous version i had no problem what so ever.

 

2. I have lost all the applications that i have had before

 

3. I no longer have the Icon of email setting in the setup folder

 

I have tried to go backwards t the previous OS but now i keep getting the same messages.

 

Please let me know what is the cure for my blackberry  Smiley Happy

There are plenty of us here to help you. Many with way more experience than me so let's start from the beginning. 

 

What BlackBerry are you using?  Did you do a back up before you started the upgrade?

I have the BB Bold 9700.

 

I think that when you do the upgrade it does the backup, if this is not the case then i regret but i did not do.

 

My main concern s that i wish to get the BB App downloader from there, most of the applications i can recuperate.

 

So what i really dont understand how come before all was working smoothly and now is not working at all?

Try removing your battery - then replacing it - allSmiley Happywing your phone to reboot.

 

 

Then let's see hwat the others have to say to help us get you where you need to be....

What OS release did you install? Options > About.

 

 

It sounds like you have lost your Service Books.

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

 

1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.

2. Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site:
From your handheld device:   http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

 

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and log in. Then under Help!, select Service Books, then select Send service Books.

 

From your desktop PC:  http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American Carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
WorldWide Carriers - Find your carrier on the list

3. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot. This reboot, even if you have already done this, is often needed to install the service books.

ok, i took the battery out, but i am getting the same message.

 

another thing that buthers me is that the icon of email setting dissapeared as well, so if i wish to add an account or edit an account is no longer possible.

i have v5.0.0.411 (platform 5.2.0.33)

 

now point one i have managed to do.

 

as for point number one i did it.

 

the problem i hav iswith the email setting, i no longer have this icon in the setup folder. if i will downgrad the os version then it will reappear. what do you suggest?

Jsanders is awesome with help - he will get you back on track

 

Regarding your messages - go to your email icon... BlackBerry Button.....Options .....in box settings... the scroll to bottom and uncheck the box for having sms and and mms... This will give you a seperate icon for SMS and for EMAIL.
