Wow, doesn't sound good.

1. You always have the option to return the device if you bought it new from a carrier.

2. Do you have Desktop Manager loaded to the PC?

Download Desktop Manager from here:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22

3. Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.

Re: Mass Storage mode

Yes, got it installed, no problems with that as other devices work on that usb port and all others and its a motherboard usb...im sure its the blackberry that isnt reading the usb connection, tried it again, this time the blackberry is registered by windows, i try to install the hardware, and it tells me error code 10: device wont start...

im thinking of returning it...which is a shame cause i really like it.

Re: Mass Storage mode

I am having the same problem as you! My first Storm was recognized in the Windows Explorer..now my replacement phone which I got because I had camera issues isn't being recognized at all by the Windows Explorer. I took the media card out, wiped the phone, turned off the "auto enable Mass Storage mode when connected" (then turned it back on) but it still doesn't get recognized.

Re: Mass Storage mode

To access the mass storage mode on the Storm, you have to go through the "memory" option (it is a different option access route than on other blackberried).
