Re: Media card repair failed problem

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Likely, there is nothing that will recover your lost data...that, of course, is the whole purpose of regular backups (e.g., each week, when I use the Desktop Software to backup my BB, I also, via Mass Storage Mode, copy the entire contents of both Device and Media Card Memory to my PC).

In any event, what you could try is, with a PC and a media card reader, seeing if the card can be read from there. If so, then your data is safe, and the BB itself cannot properly interface with the card. If the data is not there, you can perhaps attempt some PC data recovery tools...you would need to seek out those specifically for SD memory, which is significantly different than traditional magnetic disc drive memory.

Otherwise, you will want to obtain a known good (e.g., already working properly in an identical BB) card and see if the behavior persists on your BB. If so, then it's your BB itself that is causing the problems. If you have warranty, you'd want to seek support via that channel.

Good luck!
