Message - Blackberry Desktop Manager has Stopped Working !!!

The message reads that a problem caused the program to stop working?   It occurs when I try to sync from Outlook.  Does anyone have some helpfull advice as to why this is happening.  It seems to start the syc and then dies.  Thanks in advance.
