Message deleting itself

Have Curve 9300 and it has started to delete letters.As I type and use either the p or delete button then it just goes back by itself and deletes some of the message. No other letters do it!!

Been told to back up all info and then wipe the phone, but not sure which OS to download  for the desktop manager for the phone, I know it is OS6, but on the website only shows OS 6.1 and 6.2 so which do I use?

Hi there,

Before you reload the OS, have you tried simply removing the battery for 15-30 seconds, reinsert, wait for the device to reboot and then see if it works correctly?
