Message displaying on front of phone when closed, cannot find menu with solution to disable

This is a difficult phone to navigate, it's just a flip phone, not a full fledged touch screen or the like.

There is a very real possibility of a private email coming in, and I need to turn off whatever function allows them to display on the front of the phone, (it might be in front of someone who doesn't need to read it).

Think bid proposal here, not multiple girlfriend conflicts!  Smiley Happy

Anyone figure this one out yet?

Bruce

Yes, enable password security on the device.

Re: Message displaying on front of phone when closed, cannot find menu with solution to disable

J.,

Thanks, setting the lock code stops it, though I hate to have to type that dozens of times a day.  I may try to unlock it and see if external notifications will do it also.

The guide is a good link too, the paperwork that came with the phone was the most basic that could be called a user guide.

Your prompt, knowledgeable response is much appreciated.
