Micro SD media card help

I have Tour 9630 but I guess this might be general problem people may have faced in the past.

Basically, my Micro SD stopped getting recognized by my phone, my computer as well as card reader.

It shows size zero. Also, on Blackberry desktop software, it does not recognize on hitting backup.

It would neither do chkdsk, nor format as I keep getting message on computer "insert card" and on phone "Media card having fatal errors"

This is coming as sudden shock to me.

Is there any way (hard or soft), I can make it accessible again? I have some important data.

Advanced thanks

Re: Micro SD media card help

Hey tjniceman7,

The card may be damaged if the PC is not recognizing the card using a card reader. I would suggest testing another card in the BlackBerry® smartphone to determine if the issue is with the BlackBerry® smartphone.

If the BlackBerry® smartphone does not recognize the new media card, I would suggest to doing clean reload of the BlackBerry® device software as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320 and test before restoring any data to the device.

Why do you think so? Did you see the SD card in two pieces?
