Micro SDHC Cards

Hi, does anyone know if the Curve 8310 will accept the new High Capicity Micro SD cards available? If so, what size can it accept please.

Yes, it will. The max size allowed is according to the OS on the device.


Look at Options > About, third line down beginning with a "v.4.xxx"

Here are the SD card sizes available by OS:

  • BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0                      Up to 2 GB
  • BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1                      Up to 4 GB
  • BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2                      Up to 4 GB
  • BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0                      Up to 8 GB
  • BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0                      Up to 8 GB
  • BlackBerry Device Software and later     Up to 16 GB
  • BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later          Up to 32 GB

Jerry... May be dumb question but.. Can one purchase a MicroSD card anywhere and not from my carrier's store (AT&T)?

Costco here in Anchorage has a 2 pack of 2GB micro sd card with SD card adapter for $21.00.

I've had a 4Gb card ever since i got my phone....paid like $19 for it thru an online store...& it's a sandisk...one of the best out there
