MicroSD card causing system crash

Hi there, got my new BB Pearl Flip on Friday. Had roughly 20-25 system crashes in 2 days. Always appears when I try to access media such as music, pics or videos from the SD card. Tried several cards (the one that came with the BB and 2 others) but it didn't solve the issue. I'm extremely frustrated. Each reboot takes actually 3-5 minutes....Did remove the battery several times and updated the OS already. All desktop software is up to date. If someone has an idea or advise I would be more than happy. Cheers!

Re: MicroSD card causing system crash

Did you move files over to the Media Card, or is it even formatted?

Card was formatted. Using Desktop Manager when moving files over to BB.

Re: MicroSD card causing system crash

...actually it's getting worse. Was just trying to talk to a client over the phone and the Flip rebooted 3 (yes three) times. Quite annoying. Had to switch to my old phone. Think this might be a hardware error so will return the BB.

Re: MicroSD card causing system crash

It appears to me that you either received a lemon phone and it needs replacement or an older transfered application is causing issues. I would suggest loading them one at a time on the new phone until the culprit can be found.  James
I hope that this informatiion helps you to solve the problem!
