Here's the overall goal: Sync everything to Google calendar.
Bifocals already did a good job helping me to sync BB to Gcal. Now I'm still having problems syncing from outlook 2007 to BB.
I have a ton of recurring appointments like birthdays that have no time attached to them in Outlook. they do not sync across to my BB. I have tried one way syncing. that didn't do it.
I have tried two way syncing, then BB wanted to delete several hundred appointments off my Outlook.
I'm running an 8310 with v18.104.22.168.

I just had this problem today. Have been happily syncing my calendar from Outlook to BB back and forth for some time now, but today, almost all of my appointments on the computers (two different ones, one using Vista and the other XP) the Outlook calendars lost most of the appointments. Still on the BB.
Tried changing the desktop settings to send only from device to Outlook -- they don't come through.
I haven't changed any settings, so don't know what is going on? I hate mysteries....

Thanks Irwinll. I'm using DM 4.7 -- and have been since it was updated some months ago. Yesterday was the first time this problem appeared, and I'm not aware of changing anything. So this is a mystery to me.
I do know the BB calendar software did an automatic update a week or two ago -- but I didn't notice any problem with Outlook until yesterday. Maybe I hadn't done an update sync (I don't do it every day, usually only when I've added a couple of appts.) I wonder if that might be part of the problem?
The new calendar on the BB seems not to have all of the settings of the old version, under options, at least not that I can find. (Things like "Keep all appointments" and so on.)
Thanks for your advice, and anyone else who may know what's going on!

I think that version of DM should be OK with Outlook 2007
Have you tried making all those birthdays "all day events"?
Wonder if these threads might help.

Thanks again. Actually it was working fine with Outlook 2007, DM 4.7.
I'm begninng to suspect the problem may be other "calendars" that have suddenly appeared on my BB -- a "facebook" calendar and one apparently linked to my yahoo email. I don't know where these came from, nor how to get rid of them, but it appears to be this may be the problem. I think it's crazy to have more than one calendar, and maybe if I can get rid of these other two I can straighten this out...

OK. Good on the sync?
Go to options-advanced options-default services
How many calendars are listed there?
You can also open your calendar, select menu-options, how many calendars are listed there with your emails?

OK, I think I'm narrowing this down. The culprit seems to be the new calendar software which for some reason known only to someone other than me linked all my old events to Facebook, and new items I have added since this installed itself, to my yahoo email address. Only the latter are syncing with Outlook.
I'm first of all bemused as to why my calendar should be linked to anything at all, when I don't want it to. I noticed when this upgraded that there was a new field for added appointments: "Send with" followed by my email address. I figured this was some sort of optional thing.
Please, please, is there any way out of this horrendous mess! I've got dozens of appointments that I can now only see on my BB, and not in Outlook. I'm afraid to delete Facebook because that might take all my appts with it.
This is astoundingly bad, bad software. The fact that I'm even having to deal with this makes me furious. Sorry to vent, but this is just so tiresome and time consuming.
Is there any way back to a simple calendar that just syncs with Outlook?
