Mobile hotspot times out

Hey guys. I am trying to tether my BB data connection on my Galaxy Tab wifi. It works fine when I am using it actively. But every time I go off for like 15 min and come back the connection is dead and I need to re-enable the hotspot again. Very annoying. Is there a way to permanently have the hotspot turned on?

Alternatively, would a simple (data efficient) polling app on the Galaxy tab wifi keep the connection active? If so, any recommendations? Thx.

Re: Mobile hotspot times out

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Refer:

  • KB31857 How to setup and manage a Mobile Hotspot Connection

That contains instructions as to how to control the timeout setting.

Good luck!

Re: Mobile hotspot times out

Hello together

doku was not really helpful, because I made all tasks as described.

BUT I solved the problem. What did I had made additional to the document

I allowed that devices could communicate each other . This was not described in document or i was blind and did not read it.
