Purchased a new Motorola Finiti Bluetooth earpiece recently. Sprint store employee had one and said it should work w/ my Tour....plays texts to me, lets me say "answer" to accept inbound calls. Does NOT do any of the speech to text stuff outbound. The application options are grayed out ....Motorola support is useless...does this really work w/ my Tour on v5 software or do i need a different phone?

The Motorola Finiti bluetooth headset relies on "MotoSpeak" software running on the paired handset(s) to provide the extended speech functionality. The only speech that the Finiti recognizes on it's own are the commands like "answer" & "ignore".
On BlackBerry MotoSpeak 1.0 software is supported, which is only text-to-speech.
On Android platforms MotoSpeak 2.0 is supported, which offers both text-to-speech and speech-to-text.
As the MotoSpeak software appears to be licensed & rebranded versions of third-party products it appears Finiti users are dependant on both what Motorola's partners develop and what Motorola is willing to subsidize/license/enable. Currently Motorola is only featuring the Android-based MotoSpeak software on their sales websites it appears we BlackBerry customers aren't a priority market any longer, and so I'm guessing feature enhancements aren't very likely.
