Mp3 editor

I know this isnt exactly about my phone but hopefully someone can help me anyway. I would like to fine a FREE bit of software so that I can edit an mp3 track. What I want to be able to do is take a certain section of it out and use it. For example, the intro to a song. Any ideas?

Re: Mp3 editor

I use Audacity very often, but you can use http://mpesch3.de1.cc/mp3dc.html which is easier to just cut an MP3.

MP3DirectCut = toaster.
Audacity = Swiss knife that cooks eggs and massage your feet and reads the newspaper while you are taking a shower..
