Multiple issues after os upgrade and restart - no images and very small icons

[ Edited ]
I have 9900 about 18 months old. I started having issues with the trackpad. Trying to discard software issue I ended up performing a full os installation. I've done that, restored my data from the back up. Do the setting of email, protect, etc. everything seemed to be working fine. 1st issue I found was app world was missing. I looked in the kb and found a recommendation to take the battery out and restart. I did that and after the restart I got an error message, "uncaught exception: cannot find image: search_browser_web" Currently, the background is white at the top and black in the application area. Icons are VERY small and some missing I've tried to restart again with same result. Applications seem to work but all the templates seem missing. No (very small) icons for mail applications Any help appreciated Edit: if in an application (contacts, messages) pressing the blackberry key doesn't bring up the menu. This looks to be also a ui issue as holding it opens the task list.

Hi Msaenzj and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!

Have you tried testing your BlackBerry smartphone before restoring the backup data? Its possible that you may be encountering an error with your backup.

I would suggest performing a backup of your BlackBerry® smartphone then reloading the software as shown in the article below:
