Musicplayer doesn't work properly

[ Edited ]

Hey all,

I rebooted yesterday my Blackberry bold 9870, and i turned on a music.

it was like this: ( not my phone, but from google )

at that screen, i can turn the volume down and up, pause the music and all.

But when i go to home screen ( or whatsapp, a game ) or anything else, i cant turn the volume down or up, i can not pause the music. when i want to do that, i need to go to the musicplayer and turn there the volume down.

Normally you can adjust the volume up down pausing, when the screen is locked or playing a game, how can i turn this back?

Thank you!

Re: Musicplayer doesn't work properly

Hey jasperav,

Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.

Have you tried re-inserting the battery? There is an option to Allow Mute and volume keys to Play , Pause, and Skip, in the media player press the menu key and go to options, but the volume still work.

If the volume function is not working I would suggest backing up and doing a clean reload of the BlackBerry® device software as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320. Please test before restoring any data to the device.

If this resolves the issue do a selective restore of essential data (Address Book, Calendar, Task, Memos, BBM contacts etc.)
How to use BlackBerry® Desktop Software to restore data to a BlackBerry® smartphone from a backup file

If the issue still persists after the reload, further investigation might be required. To help further diagnose the cause, contact your wireless service provider or BlackBerry® Technical Support Services for further review and support.

Thank you.
