My 1 month old BB Flip 8230 has so many problems. Help?

Ok the first thing that went wrong with my blackberry flip was i can be surfing the net with the browser and it just turn off. Second it takes forever to turn back on. I timed it one time and it took around 15 minutes to turn back on. Third thing i've noticed if you charge the battery and it gets warm it will stop charging until it cools down, and when its charging 50% of the time it loses time or it stops all together. I can plug the charger in a 10pm and wake up at 6am and the phone will still say 10pm. This has made me late for work numerous time so i stop relying on the bb alarm. Also the GPS quit working about 2 weeks after i got it. It just wont lock on anymore, when i first got the phone it would lock on almost instantly when i started the GPS in BB maps. I upgraded from a regular 8130 pearl and honestly i am thinking about changing back to it, because it never turned off and it only took a minute to return to the home screen when i did a battery pull. What is causing all these problems especially the Randomly turning off and taking 15 minutes to turn back on? I think is highly ridiculous. My device software is 4.6.1.236. Am i the only one having this issue or is this widespread? Is RIM aware of these issues?

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.

 

1. At options > status, what is your File Free number?

 

2.Yes, reboots can take a few minutes. Fifteen is quite long, beyond one I have seen.

 

3. Yes, batteries generate heat on charging. And yes, a hot battery 100 degrees and higher can take longer to charge, or not charge at all.

 

4. I've never seen one lose time while charging.

 

5. Options > Advanced > GPS. Is the "GPS Services" set to Location On?

If so... do this:

Make certain that you in an area of good signal coverage AND outside with a clear view of the sky in an open area of no tall buildings.

Click Options > Advanced > GPS > Menu > Refresh GPS.

Give it up to 10 minutes to refresh, and try 2-3 times in a row.

My file free number is 70130500 bytes. I have been trying for over the past week to connect to my GPS and it still hasnt worked. I brought it in to my carrier and they pretty much seemed like they didnt know anything about it. I told them i wanted to warranty it since it wasnt working. But they were quick to say that GPS isnt covered under the warranty and would cost me $200 to get a new phone And that same day they denied my rebate that i had on the phone from when i purchased it. What a headache!!s
