My BB 9900 bbm does not WORK

I got a new blackberry 9900 a couple of months back I tried it in another country and it was perfectly fine. When I got to Uk the bbm did not work. I did not get any message like "Your blackberry as been registered to a wireless network" I have done the host routing table several times still no message back. And my data plan is on. My bbm doesn't work and my 3G has no bb icon. What do I do?

Is your device locked to that specific mobile network where you used first? TO check that go to Options > SIM Card > Type "mepd" (without quote) > Look for signs such as "Active" next to "Network". This means the device is Network locked. You have to have the unlock codes for unlocking the device so that you can use it in UK.
