My BB9900 keeps rebooting all the time !!

Hello all,

 

My bb bold 9900 keeps rebooting, ALL THE TIME!

So as soon as it turns on, 3 seconds after i see my wallpaper, it turns off and restart again... Smiley Sad

It is very very frustrating. I basically don't have my phone anymore.

 

I noticed that it happens when it connects to the mobile network because i managed to turn it on inside the tube (underground) where there is absolutely no network, and it works, but as soon as i got out of the tube and it was looking for signal, it turned out again.

 

Storage: Device memory - 6.3GB

Software version: 7.1 bundle 1149

 

Please if someone can help, you'd save me as I cannot use my phone anymore :'(

Try resetting the mobile radio options.

KB31555 BlackBerry smartphone loses connection to mobile network and is unable use voice or data services.

Cycle the mobile network radio off then on by following these steps:

  1. Click Manage Connections
  2. Uncheck box beside Mobile Network
  3. Check box beside Mobile Network

(I suggest doing a hard rest after cycling the specified options.)

Actually i just realized that it's when i check the box beside "Mobile Network" that the issues start.
When i do this, the mobile starts connecting to the network and it reboots again... Smiley Sad

Sorry, any other solution please ?

Hi,

I'll have to do some more research but I would try the following.

 

1) DO A FULL BACKUP OF YOUR DEVICE USING DESKTOP MANAGER AND MAKE SURE THE BACKUP COMPLETES SUCCESSFULLY.

(was that to subtle?)

 

2) See if you can get as much information from the device as possible.

KB17215 How to extract information from a BlackBerry smartphone using the loader.exe or ./bbdm command line tool

3) Run the diagnostic tests that are pertinent:

KB31560 How to perform a Network Diagnostic Test

KB16037 Performing a test using the Device Self Test Application on the BlackBerry smartphone

Reboot the device in Safe Mode this will not open 3rd party apps and will bring up the base Blackberry load. See if you can change the options successfully.

KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode

My BB990 has just done it again! It sporadically happens after I make complete a call. The phone will then reboot. Funnily, I was in Spain for 2 weeks and was using my BB a lot. It never once happened there. Then I returned to Ireland and yesteday alone it re-booted at least 5 times. Can anybody help as it is very frustrating.

Im having exactley the same problem on 9300. 

This morning I noticed the phone was rebooting on a loop constantly...it would finish booting, try to connect to the network and reboot again.

 

After hours of messing around I noticed if I uncheck the Mobile Network connection box, in the 'manage connections' section it stops rebooting so can use as normal.

As soon as this is rechecked it will try to connect for a second or two, then reboot again and again and again etc

 

 

 

Tried a different battery, different sim,loading OS, deleting apps and nothing works. 

This is driving me up the wall, especially as I lupdated the OS via desktop software (stupidly without backing up) i and its wiped all my data from the password keeper. Unless its backed up by Blackberry I've lost years of saved data. 

 

 

Can anyone help with the rebooting problem?

I am having the same problem, So if you discover a sollution pls let me know. The guy at the phone house said it was a Blackberry software problem.
