1. I bought the Bold 9930 in a swap deal; 2. It was reconfigured (process of wiping out contains of the phone to allow restoration of my back up files from my previous Bold);
So this sounds like at least a portion of the necessary steps to be taken:
3. After the (2) above, I went to set up button to activate my email account; 4. Sadly, the Email Accounts Icon is inactive, hence I couldn't click it to set up (activate) my email account. This has been the problems and would appreciate a solution to it. I will implement your recommendations.
OK...so, I don't see anything about a SIM, contacting Verizon, or anything else to complete the activity of 1) removing all prior accounts from the BB that VZW holds and 2) activating this BB onto VZW for your usage. I also don't see anything concerning other BB-proprietary services (e.g., BBM, Browser, etc.)...are those working? Further still, are voice services working? I also don't see any usage of the Device Switch Wizard, which would conduct things for you that need to be done to migrate from one BB to another.
But, just in case those things are all OK, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support and getting this BB properly activated on their network.
