My Bold won't charge

I accidentally drain the battery, in the morning the handset hangs with the low battery notification and i pull out the battery to switch it off, but after that my bold won't charge at all. i leave it for almost 2 hours but the light is still off.

any suggesttions?

I've seen this happen with other BBs as well.

 

Let it charge another hour or so, and with it still plugged to the USB, remove the battery, replace it and see it reboots. If not, leave it longer.

If it does reboot fine, leave it charge to 100% full.

 

Rule #1, never let your battery discharge under 15% constantly, it is not good for these type batteries.

it still won"t charge, i already left it for almost 8 hours now. the light still won't turn on. if i replace the battery with the new one will it solve the problem? or is it the problem from the phone?

Yeah I have the same problem... my battery was drained and now the Bold has no power @ all.

 

Even if i put my friends fully charged battery... nothing.

 

if i put in the USB cable in with no battery on a normal Bold you still get the red LED... but i have nothing???

 

Can someone please help

What happen if you connect the device with the pc (with the desktop manager closed), the device is detected?

Hi,

 

Yes, the bold is dead.

 

You'll have to contact your carrier to get a replacement organised.

 

And to avoid the next question, yes everything on your BB is gone, unless you have previously done a backup. When you get your replacement devcie you can restore the data from the backup to the handset.

 

If you have never done a backup then unbfortunately there is nothing that can be done to save the data.

i just got the blackberry, i plugged it inot wall charger to charge and red light and battery with lightning bolt appeared, however, i removed the charger and press the on button to charge the phone while its on, but now it wont startup or anything, no red light , nothing...someone please tell me this can be fixed

Have you tried to pull the battery for 24-48 hours.?

I'm having that problem at the moment. I've had it before as well - it took like two days of charging before it worked again but everything was there when it finally turned on again.
