Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner:
With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescirbed for most gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
Now, try sending your BBM again.
EVEN if you've already tried this, do it again as I instructed above.

Alot of my bbm contacts are having the same issue as i am and as you are.
I work for Tesco telecoms and have just rung o2. They have been recieving a high volume of calls regarding the same problem.
Mine will send messages but not show 'd' or 'r' for ages.
This appears to be a Blackberry issue rather that a carrier one. Im not even sure if Blackberry are aware of it yet.
May i also say that it isnt affecting everyone.
Anyone else shine some light on whats going on?
