Re: Myfantasy app is not working - General Socket error??

No clue...but some more details will help...

  • Device Model Number

  • Device OS Level

  • Carrier

  • App Version

When, exactly, does this error shows up...during install? Upon initial execution?  Sometime during use?

Is compatibility mode turned on or off? Whichever it is, try the other.

Did you obtain the app through AppWorld? Or separately?

Those are a few clarifying questions and ideas...for now...

  • 8330m
  • v4.5.0.127
  • MetroPCS
  • Myfantasy v1.2 which I did obtain from AppWorld

The error shows up after I put my login info and click login, it says attempting to login and then I get the error.

Not sure how to switch the compatibility mode on of off??

Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > Highlight, but don't click, the app > BBKey > compatibility mode should be on that menu.

Well, that is odd indeed...I do suggest that you contact the app developer. They provide apps to RIM for AppWorld and certify that they are compatible, and that's how RIM knows to offer the app to you via AppWorld. If the developer missed something, then they need to know about it.
