Need Help with Text Messaging on my 9650

Hi.

 

I've been using my Bold 9650 a few years now. It's running on os6 bundle 3049. Im living in the Philippines and using Globe as my service provider.

 

I was recently told that everytime i send out text messages, the receiving party, gets my text message but in two or three parts, even though I do not exceed the 160 limit. On my end though, I only see it as one message being sent.

 

I have never had this problem before and im wondering if this is an os issue.

 

Help pls.

Gale, I have not seen that issue before.

 

Could you find a friend nearby and send an SMS message (less than 160 characters) and confirm this,... and see it?

Do you have any third party SMS apps installed by chance... SMSCrunch or anything you know of?

none. i have sms blocker and that's it. but i've always had that and it didn't affect my text messages before.

OK.

 

Have you done a recent reboot on the BlackBerry?  With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

 

If it continues, I'd also delete the SMS Blocker... just to be sure. You can always reinstall it.

Done! Uninstalled SMS Blocker and Rebooted. Still the same.

Then I don't know.

 

How about finding an app such as Beyond160, which will give you that ability?
