Need help

I am trying to reinstall facebook on my phone and it keeps asking me for my blackberry ID required.  the email that is attached to it i no longer have and do not know the password.  It tells me i can do a security wipe to remove it and change the email and password but i am afraid if i do the wipe it will deleate all my contacts and pictures.  I need help on how to be able to reinstall facebook on my phone without the blackberry id thing popping up.

Re: Need help

You should be able to do a data backup with BlackBerry Desktop Software without having to use your BlackBerry ID.  Once the backup is done, do the security wipe then reload the data to your phone.

To do a data backup, plug your phone in to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  If you don't have it installed on your PC, go to www.blackberry.com/desktop .  If the software does not start backing up your device automatically, simply click Device at the top of the software then Backup.  Once you've done the backup and wiped the phone, restoring the data is as easy as opening BDS again and clicking Device then Restore.

I hope that helps you.  Smiley Happy
