Network Out Of Order

I have a Storm and i'm overseas. When i first got here i could send and receive SMS with no problem. About a week ago, i found i can no longer send SMS messages. I spent an hour on the phone with my provider (Bell Canada) and they were no help. Can anybody shed some light on this?

SMS is voice related, and provided by the carrier that you are currently provisioned with

Re: Network Out Of Order

I'm presently in Saudi Arabia, the local network is Mobily Vodafone which is the provider that my provider is associated with. Still don't understand why it worked for a few weeks then stopped.

Re: Network Out Of Order

do you get any errors?

something could have gone wrong with the provisioning

can you send/receive emails?

have you pulled the battery?

can you make calls?

Re: Network Out Of Order

Re: Network Out Of Order

this solution has worked for me:

go into text messages (click menu button) click options, change "send text-only message as:" from "Always SMS" to "Always MMS". then try to text a contact, it has worked for me Smiley Very Happy
