New 9720

I have just purchased a Blackberry 9720, seems to be working OK, but when I plug it into my laptop it does not appear as a drive. Have installed the desktop software and can backup my data. Any suggestions plrease.

Re: New 9720

If you want it to connect to BlackBerry Desktop Software, USB Mass Storage must be OFF and if you want to use your phone as a USB drive, USB Mass Storage must be ON.

I'm not sure the exact path to follow on a 9720 to access this menu but it would be something like Options>Storage or Options>Device>Storage on your phone.

I hope that helps you.  Smiley Happy

Thanks for that, will give it a try and see how I get on. Should have stated that I'm using a Mac.

Re: New 9720

Hi,

Have tried that, no good. Does the phone have to have a media card installed?
